A NEW AWARD COMING YOUR WAY

Stumble Type Activity Trophy (STAT)

fghhfgh

Mileage points are awarded for Stumble Type Activity.

When you go out for a run or walk and on the way round you visit a pub and have a soft or alcoholic beverage, you are entitled to have the mileage you have journeyed to be added to your total. The person who at the end of the year has accumulated the most miles is the winner of a most prestigious trophy. (It has to be handed back the next year but if you win it three times you can keep it.)

What you have to do:

Have a beer mat from the pub signed by bar staff indicating the pub and who you are. Write down how many miles you have done and the route., eg 8 miles Chellaston to Melbourne and back. Give this to Dave Gristock.

What counts:

  • Being a Shelton Strider
  • You automatically get miles when you do Stumbles (and the Midsummer Dream).
  • Only pubs during a walk/run count. If you start or finish at a pub without going to one on the route, it doesn't count.
  • Pubs must be at least two miles from where you live. No going down to the local.
  • Competition starts on 1st April and finishes on 31st October.

Any suggestion of cheating will be referred to the disciplinary secretary, Mr John Read esq. He has the authority to impose the ultimate sanction of eliminating the suspect completely (and believe me, he will!).

A new chart will be made at the end of each month so that you can mark your own personal progress.
It couldn't be simpler.

Note of caution. This is not to encourage anybody to drink and drive. If you drink alcohol, don't drive.
