2007 Merrill College and Shelton Striders 10k
Merrill College and Shelton Striders Running Club played hosts to their annual 10k run on Sunday 7th October 2007. Over 400 runners took part in the 10k event and more than 200 turning out for the Fun Run. The weather stayed kind and the event ran smoothly for yet another successful day. A big thanks to EVERYONE involved , the runners, marshalls, timekeepers, first aid and anyone else involved in the organizing of the event.
First over the line with a time of 32m 42s was Rod Harris of the Long Eaton Running Club. Heanor Running Club's Lisa Palmer was first lady to finish in 37m 14s. Cameron McNeill of Wilsthorpe College crossed Fun Run line in 10m 21s to take the win.
